Open-source Robotic Hand

The goal of this project was to develop a robotic hand with comparable specifications and performance to some of the commercially available robotic and bionic hands on the market, but at a fraction of the cost.

For various reasons, commercially available hands typically cost upwards of several thousands of dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. This open-source design can be built for less than a couple hundred dollars in materials.

Open-source Small Robotic Hand

The goal of this project is to develop a smaller robotic hand comparable in size and grip strength to a child's hand for smaller humanoid robotic and bionic projects.

The secondary goal of this project is to simplify the printing and assembly process by making the components ambidextrous: the same print file will work for both left and right hands.
